Are you using LPG Connection? Is the gas subsidy amount coming into your account regularly every month? But there is a very important big alert for you from the central government and oil companies. As per government regulations, it is mandatory for all LPG gas users to complete e-KYC for their gas connection .
The deadline for this is fast approaching. Those who do not complete their Aadhaar-based e-KYC process by June 30 are likely to face a severe impact on their gas subsidy. That is, they risk losing their subsidy after June 30.
In this article, we will learn in detail step-by-step how to check if your gas connection is linked to Aadhaar or not. Let’s learn how to complete e-KYC from your mobile through OTP, biometric or face authentication without going around the gas agency.
What is Gas e-KYC? Why should I do it?
The central government is providing subsidy on each cylinder to beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) and regular gas connections. However, the government has identified lakhs of fake gas connections across the country, with multiple connections being obtained illegally on the same Aadhaar card or in the same house.
This Gas e-KYC Verification process has been introduced with the aim of curbing these irregularities and ensuring that the subsidy money reaches only the genuine beneficiaries. Through this, the details of the gas connection owner are digitally matched with your Aadhaar data.
